As my posts last week were a bit morbid, I thought I would bring a more positive light to my topic of today. A civil rights worker in a town in Nigeria rescued about 500 schoolgirls from being attacked and kidnapped by the Boko Haram. This organization affiliated itself with ISIS and has a self-declared caliphate across Nigeria. Their name translates to, “Western Education in Forbidden”. Usually, when they enter a city, they take all of the young girls and use them for laundering weapons, cooks, or as sex slaves. I G Wala saved 500 girls from this fate, which is an astonishingly heroic act.
